Monday’s Poll Recap

🤖 So… Are Villagers Using AI?

654 of you weighed in — and the results are fascinating.

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟢 Yes, regularly — 247 votes (38%) 🟨🟨🟨🟨⬜️⬜️ 🟡 Tried it — 188 votes (29%) 🟨🟨🟨🟨⬜️⬜️ 🔴 Nope — 161 votes (25%) 🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️ 🔵 Heard of it — 58 votes (9%)

Two-thirds of you have at least tried AI. Nearly 4 in 10 are using it every single day — for genealogy research, rewriting emails, planning travel, even writing sympathy cards and bedtime stories for grandkids. One reader put it best:

"What would have taken a lifetime, I did in a few hours."

Another simply wrote: "Daily — I even named him." (...we have questions.)

But the holdouts are holding firm — and they're not shy about it. "Don't need it, don't want it. Don't trust it!" Others raised real concerns: the environment, the erosion of human thinking, the inability to tell what's real anymore. One reader asked what might be the question of the decade: "What will the new phrase be for mental 'couch potatoes'?"

The most interesting group? The 29% who've tried it. They're curious but uncommitted — and one reader who checked "tried it" still wrote: "Just started — amazing." That line tells you everything. The fence is not very tall.

Whether you're a daily user or a determined skeptic, one thing is clear: nobody's on the sidelines because they haven't heard of it. Only 9% checked that box. The conversation has moved from what is AI to what do I do with it — and that's exactly where things get interesting.

More on that below.

Thanks for voting and keep those poll ideas coming — hit reply if you’ve got a fun one!

💪 AI for Everyday Life

Understand Your Lab Results Before Your Doctor Visit

Last week we talked about simplifying insurance documents. This week, we’re tackling something even more important: your health.

You know the story — lab results hit your inbox, you scan for red flags, maybe Google one number, and then try to remember everything when you’re sitting in front of your doctor.

There’s a better way.

You can paste your lab numbers (lipids, A1C, glucose, thyroid, PSA, etc.) into an AI tool and ask: “Organize these results. Which numbers are trending up or down? Which are outside optimal range? What questions should I ask my doctor?”

You’ll get a clear summary instead of a wall of numbers. Here’s where it gets even more useful for beginners:

You can add context.

For example:
“I eat low-carb and high-protein.”
“I follow a Mediterranean diet.”
“I fast 16 hours daily.”
“I lift weights 4 days a week.”

That context matters. Diet and training style can influence cholesterol markers, triglycerides, fasting glucose, and more. When you include how you eat and exercise, AI can frame your results in a more personalized way and suggest smarter questions to discuss.

It doesn’t diagnose. It doesn’t replace your physician. It helps you think clearly before you walk in. Preparation changes the entire tone of that appointment.

Next week: before you call the mechanic — or golf cart repair — try this first.

Feeling off lately? It could be your hormones.

Allara helps women understand the root cause of their hormonal or metabolic symptoms with a comprehensive care team that combines expert medical and nutrition guidance. Whether you're managing PCOS, fertility challenges, perimenopause, thyroid conditions, or unexplained symptoms, you'll get a personalized care plan backed by advanced diagnostic testing and ongoing support. This isn't about quick fixes. It's about getting clarity and feeling like yourself again, with care that's accessible virtually and covered by insurance.

Monday Bonus Poll Recap: Morse North of 466 Improvments

This wasn’t close. Of 297 votes, 78% said Morse Boulevard north of 466 is overdue for traffic and safety improvements. Just 22 readers think it’s fine as is, with a small group wanting more information.

The comments were consistent: traffic volume feels heavier, roundabouts back up in season, merging can be tricky, and golf cart and pedestrian crossings add to the tension. Several longtime residents said the road simply hasn’t kept pace with growth.

Those in the minority say it still flows better than many Florida roads and warn against overbuilding.

Bottom line: most of you feel the strain — and you’ll be watching closely if funding talks move forward. The plan being floated appears to be a 4 foot cement curb barrier separating the roadway from a widened multi modal path on the west side of the boulevard.
