Snowbird Poll Results

What a great turnout for Monday’s Full Time/Snowbird Poll! Tons of votes and lots of great comments as well. I appreciate all the comments and emails from our readers. 77.1% of respondents said they live here in the Villages fulltime, while 14.5% are snowbirds, generally spending the entire winter here, and up north for the summer. 8.4% are back and forth more frequently. The results are a little surprising given the very noticeable drop in traffic this time of year!

Eastport Update

It is amazing to see the progress of the Eastport construction, it’s really starting to take shape quickly, and looks amazing! That music venue and island are going to be sweet! Papa Pineapples does a great job taking you through all the developments.

Aldi Soft Opening Rumor

The word on the street is that the new Aldi at Sumter Landing may be finally soft opening on June 25. I have not been able to confirm or deny this rumor, but it seems plausible given the current state of the remodeled Winn Dixie, a project with a price tag of $1.9 Million.
