Plus: Events and Lots of Live Music!
Good Morning, Villages. We’ve got golf bragging rights to settle, a beloved butcher on the move, a new spa opening its doors, and even a puppy looking for his forever home. Toss in some development buzz, weekend events, and a full slate of live music—and you’ve got plenty to keep busy around The Villages.
On this day in 1998 – Google is founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in Menlo Park, California. Today it answers everything from recipes to “why is my golf swing so bad?”

First! 🙏 A big thanks to Don Wiley — better known to many as Gold Wingnut on Youtube, for the kind mention of Villages Pulse during his Sunday live broadcast. Don’s insights and community spirit are always appreciated!
Let’s dive in.

Monday’s Poll Results
Readers Pick Their Favorite Championship Course 🏌️♂️
We split this one into two polls because the software caps the choices (guess even email platforms get tired after 10 holes). Together, 285 Villagers cast their votes—and the results are clear:
🥇 Palmer Legends (39 votes) edged out Glenview Champions (38 votes) in a photo-finish. Think of it as the Ryder Cup, but with margaritas at the turn.
Other big fan favorites: Belle Glade (32), Southern Oaks (27), and Lopez Legacy (23).
Even the “old-timers” got love—Tierra Del Sol (23) and Hacienda Hills (22) reminded us that history still matters on the scorecard.
Shout-outs too for Bonifay, Cane Garden, Havana, Evans Prairie, Mallory, Shallow Creek, and Orange Blossom Hills—each with its loyal crew.

🥩 Best Meats on the Move
If you love great beef as much as I do, you need to know about Best Meats. Their quality and selection are second to none—everything from thick, juicy steaks to custom cuts that put supermarket meat to shame. Prices are very fair, service is friendly, and every visit feels like you’re dealing with people who actually care about what ends up on your plate.
Bad news for Wildwood area, good news for Fruitland Park area. Best Meats is moving out of their Wildwood store September 6 and into a larger, brand-new location in Fruitland Park October 1. That means more space, more selection, and the same unbeatable quality. As a heavy beef eater myself, I can say without hesitation: if you want meat that tastes the way meat should, this is the place. Keep up to date on their Facebook page.
Renew Wellness Spa & Salon to Hold Grand Opening Thursday
Renew Wellness Spa & Salon will hold its official grand opening tomorrow at 3604 Wedgewood Lane in the Villages. The new location offers skincare, massage, full-body waxing, and hair services in a redesigned space. Guests at the event can tour the facility, enter prize drawings, and schedule appointments.

🚗✨ Village of Wellpoint to Eastport
Hop in for a quick ride through Wellpoint — a charming neighborhood with tidy lawns and welcoming streets — and follow the road straight into the brand-new Eastport Town Square. You’ll pass fresh homes, peek inside the Olympia Rec Center, stroll past statues and palm-lined paths, and catch a little Jimmy Buffett along the way. A great look at what’s unfolding in one of The Villages’ newest hot spots.
