🌅 Good Morning, Villages. Happy Cinco De Mayo! Cinco De Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's victory over the Second French Empire, led by Napoleon III, at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. We celebrate by drinking plenty of margaritas 🍹. Due to Spanish Springs renovations there is no Cinco De Mayo festival there this year. Bummer. It’s safe to say we all got a fairly good amount of rain yesterday, with plenty of good chances for more over the next week and half. Our grass is happy, and soon to be green, again.

The results are in on Thursday’s poll on how often you eat out at restaurants. It’s probably no surprise, based on how busy most restaurants are, in and around The Villages. “Multiple times per week” won by a landside with 42.5% dining out many times per week. Based on comments, many like to eat before or after golfing, and many more really enjoy breakfast at area restaurants. Here are the results:

Given your love of dining out, and the fact we are 4500 subscribers strong, I intend to talk with restaurant managers about arranging special menus and pricing for readers of Villages Pulse.
