When Nancy Lopez Legacy Country Club opened in 2002, it brought instant prestige to The Villages. Nancy Lopez, one of the most beloved figures in women’s golf, personally lent her name and design influence to the 27-hole layout: Ashley Meadows, Torri Pines, and Erinn Glenn.

The course wasn’t just about golf — it was about personality. Lopez’s approachable, fan-friendly style meshed perfectly with The Villages’ spirit.
