More than 80% of you still have mostly original equipment. The Villages, apparently, takes care of its teeth.

But the comments told the real story…

👉 The crown club is massive — nearly everyone in the "mostly original" camp is hauling around a few crowns. Crowns, veneers, a bridge here and there. "Mostly original" is doing a lot of heavy lifting 😄

👉 Cost sticker shock is real — multiple readers vented about the price of modern dentistry. One reader went in for a routine cleaning, mentioned a few sore spots, and walked out $15K lighter. "That out loud cost me 15K" may be the most painful sentence in this week's comments.

👉 The implant crowd is pragmatic — "Way too expensive but definitely needed" was the vibe. One reader has had an implant since age 30 — 30 years later, still going strong.

👉 And then there's the reader who still has all four original wisdom teeth… in a box… in their jewelry case… with instructions to be buried with them. We have questions. And also respect.

A few readers are hunting for a good dentist in The Villages. One is new to Florida full-time and already hearing horror stories about local dental fees. Another shrugged off a crown by saying they don't even go to the dentist much. (Bold strategy, we don't recommend it.)

Bottom line: this community is walking around with some serious dental miles on the odometer — but most of you are still smiling. Crown or no crown, that counts. 😁

The trick is to tell AI exactly what phone you have — iPhone or Android, and ideally the model — so the instructions match your screen perfectly.

That last one alone is worth five minutes of your day.
