Poll Of The Week
Every hour in The Villages has its own kind of magic — from sunrise tee times to music under the lights. But if you had to pick just one… what’s your favorite time of day here in paradise? 😎
🌅 What’s the best time of day in The Villages? |
No wrong answers here — unless you said “waiting in line at Publix.” Or “demolition derby in the roundabouts.” 😉 Hit reply and tell us why your favorite time wins!
The Championship Courses of The Villages
A Villages Pulse Multi-Part Feature Series
Chapter 7 – Southward Swing: Bonifay, Evans Prairie & Belle Glade
As The Villages expanded south of CR 466, golf moved with it. Bonifay Country Club opened with a links-style layout and nods to Scottish heritage. Then came Evans Prairie, sprawling across 27 holes of wetlands and prairie grasses. With its massive clubhouse and restaurant, Evans Prairie became one of the busiest spots in the southern Villages.
The crown jewel was Belle Glade Country Club, opening in 2014 with 27 holes of stunning scenery. Surrounded by natural marshes and wide vistas, Belle Glade was celebrated as one of the most scenic championship courses ever built here.
This was the “big course” era — layouts that could handle massive play volume while still offering beauty and challenge. Dining was equally ambitious, and Belle Glade’s restaurant regularly drew crowds.

SPONSORED BY NOVA FILTERS
Florida water doesn’t have to smell like a swimming pool.
Tired of hard water stains and that chlorine smell? Nova Filters, a family- and veteran-owned company run by a Villager, is the go-to choice for cleaner, fresher water in thousands of local homes—including many Villages Pulse readers.
I had my Nova 3-stage whole house filter installed over a month ago and absolutely love the difference! My water tastes clean, smells fresh, and feels so much better on my skin. I’ve received so much positive feedback from Pulse readers who also took advantage of the deal back in July!
Their whole house filters, water softeners, and reverse osmosis systems make every tap taste like bottled water. With free professional installation, transparent pricing online, and a perfect 5.0 Google rating, it’s no wonder customers rave about them.

🌿 Villages Walk of the Week

Fenney Springs Nature Trail
Tucked away in the southernmost stretch of The Villages, Fenney Springs Nature Trail feels like a secret escape. The ½ mile path winds through palms and thick greenery, where the only sounds are birds and the breeze. A bit more “wild” than the paved paths, it offers a true back-to-nature walk without leaving the community.
📍 3200 Fenney Way — open dawn to dusk. Rarely crowded, best in the morning when it’s cool and quiet.
🩺 Screening Spotlight
Sponsored By Life Line Screening
Villages Pulse Reader Elizabeth shared this with me recently: “I did not see your poll on carotid artery screening but everyone should do it. I did and it saved my life. I had 97% blockage. Just saying it can make all difference. That was in 2013!!!”

Skin Cancer Screening
Your skin tells a story—listen to it
A dermatologist examines your skin for suspicious moles or spots. Skin cancers caught early are highly treatable.
✅ Who should consider it: Adults with lots of sun exposure, fair skin, or family history. Everyone should do self-checks monthly.
👉 Where/Who/Prescription: Performed by dermatologists; no prescription required.
💡 Takeaway: One quick look could prevent a serious cancer.
